BE CAREFUL with the cheaters!

This is a TRUE story. A buyer told us that he had a bad experience a few months ago, got cheated by a Shandong company. After he paid 30% deposit which is nearly 350,000 USD and tried to contact the person again, the guy vanished without any trace. Now the buyer is asking for help from our government and MESCO is assisting them too. What a horrible thing it is!

How to avoid being cheated? It would be a complicated task. Basically you should do the followings:

1.Do the preliminary investigation, check not only its official website, but also other B2B platforms as Alibaba, Global Sources, or some social networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, etc.

2.Take a visit to the company if condition allows, or ask a friend or someone you trust to do it.

3.Ask for live pictures, videos of the company, or have a video chat at random working times.

4.Ask for official documents as business license and former contracts and invoices with other clients.

5.For orders which are not urgent, LC would be a safer way instead of TT.

People say “Once bitten, twice shy”, customers who got cheated, choose suppliers very cautiously ever since, but we hope every buyer will do the up-mentioned things before making the payment, so that cheating will keep away from you.

Besides, be cautious with hackers. MESCO’s enterprise mailbox suffix is “@mescogroup.com.cn”, personal mailbox suffix is “@aliyun.com”. So if you receive any email from other similar addresses, it’s very likely to be a hacker! Additionally for receiving or remitting any money we MUST triple check the relevant bank account detailed information with each other on wechat/whatsapp plus on the phone word by word carefully!
