Weathering Steel/ Corton Steel
Refers to the low alloy structural steel with corrosion protection layer, which can be used to manufacture steel structures such as vehicles, Bridges, towers and containers.
Compared with ordinary carbon steel, weathering steel has better corrosion resistance in atmosphere.
Compared with stainless steel, weathering steel only trace alloy elements, so the price is relatively low.
Application
Weathering steel is mainly used in
railway, vehicle, bridge, tower, photovoltaic, high-speed engineering and other long-term exposure to the atmosphere of steel structure, manufacturing containers, railway vehicles, oil derricks, harbor buildings, oil production platforms and containers containing hydrogen sulfide corrosive medium in chemical and petroleum equipment.
