The first quarter of this year comes to an end. Steel price has been going up recently due to the “Two Sessions” of Chinese government. Actually the price rising is already later than usual, it was just after Chinese New Year in past decade. “Two Sessions” set new economical objectives and policies, which indicates that Chinese economic development of the whole year has begun.

This year, due to the war and overall economic situation, the global steel trading could be in a weak position. Ocean freight of containers is still staying at a high level, that of bulk cargo also has been increasing quickly and much. Freight space is tight, that of most shipping lines needs to be booked at least one month earlier.

There are mainly three types of supplier in China, factory, agent and exporter. Most factories are limited by their product categories and specifications; exporters are mostly like opportunists; but agents usually have stock goods, especially big ones, and they have reliable relationships with Chinese governmental factories and big private mills, product quality is guaranteed.
