Overview
MESCO is a dedicated manufacturer of SS+Al+SS tri-ply cookware sandwich discs and round blanks, engineered for cookware brands, OEM factories and kitchenware distributors worldwide. A tri-ply cookware disc combines two layers of stainless steel with a pure aluminum core, delivering the cooking performance of premium induction-ready cookware at a competitive factory-direct price.
Every sandwich disc is produced from controlled raw material, cladded on our own roll-bonding line, then blanked into circles, D-shapes, ovals or custom profiles. With 19 years of experience and supply to 9 Fortune 500 customers across more than 60 countries, MESCO has become a trusted source for cookware disc manufacturers seeking consistent thickness, flatness and batch-to-batch stability.
What Is a Tri-Ply Cookware Sandwich Disc?
A sandwich disc is a layered metal blank used as the base of a frying pan, saucepan, stockpot or wok. The outer stainless steel layers provide corrosion resistance, easy cleaning and the magnetic response required by induction hobs, while the 1060 aluminum core spreads heat quickly and evenly to eliminate hot spots. The result is cookware that heats like aluminum and lasts like stainless steel.
Layer Structure
| Layer | Material | Typical Thickness | Function |
| Outer layer | 304 / 430 stainless steel | 0.4 - 0.8 mm | Abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, easy cleaning |
| Core layer | 1060 pure aluminum | 1.0 - 2.5 mm | Fast, uniform heat conduction, IH compatibility |
| Inner layer | 304 / 430 stainless steel | 0.4 - 0.8 mm | Food-contact safety, scratch resistance |
Key Features & Benefits
- Even heat distribution: the 1060 aluminum core eliminates hot spots for predictable searing and simmering.
- Induction ready: the ferritic 430 or austenitic 304 outer layer responds to induction hobs without an added disc.
- One-piece stamping: blanks are supplied with consistent metallurgical bonding, so drawing and stamping will not delaminate.
- Precision tolerances: flatness within +/- 0.05 mm and diameter within +/- 0.2 mm for automated production lines.
- Custom thickness combinations: standard builds such as 0.5/1.5/0.5 mm and 0.4/1.4/0.4 mm, or any ratio on request.
- Batch consistency: every coil is traceable, and every lot is hardness and bonding tested before shipment.

Applications
- Frypans, sauté pans and woks for induction and gas hobs
- Saucepans, stockpots and casserole bases
- Roasting pans and baking trays for commercial kitchens
- Hotel, restaurant and catering (HORECA) cookware lines
- Electric cooker and air fryer pot assemblies
Quality Control
Quality starts at the raw coil. We inspect incoming 304/430 and 1060 material, then control the cladding process to guarantee a full-surface metallurgical bond with no air pockets. After blanking, every batch is checked for flatness, thickness, diameter, surface finish and bond integrity, with dimensional reports provided per shipment. Third-party inspection such as SGS or CE documentation can be arranged on request.

FAQ
What is the minimum order quantity?
Trial orders are welcome to validate the material and process. Mass production is quoted per project based on diameter, thickness and finish.
Can you produce custom shapes from my drawing?
Yes. We supply round discs, D-shapes, ovals, squares and other custom blanks from your drawing or a reference sample.
Are these discs compatible with induction cooktops?
Yes. The stainless steel outer layers provide the magnetic response required by induction hobs while the aluminum core spreads the heat.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard sizes are usually shipped in 2-4 weeks. Stock thicknesses can be delivered faster; custom ratios may take longer.
Which surface finishes do you offer?
We offer 2B, BA, brushed and mirror finishes, with optional PVD colors for decorative cookware lines.
