Overview
MESCO supplies powder coated steel sheet and coil for manufacturers of building facades, electrical enclosures, garage doors, solar frames and household appliances. Powder coating applies a dry, finely ground polymer powder that is electrostatically charged and then cured under heat, forming a dense, uniform and highly durable film that outperforms conventional liquid paint in thickness, edge coverage, impact resistance and environmental safety.
Our powder coating line processes cold rolled, galvanized and galvalume substrates with full surface pretreatment, delivering a consistent finish in any RAL or custom color. What Is Powder Coating on Steel?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Electrostatic spray guns charge polymer powder particles, which are attracted to the grounded steel surface and form an even layer before being cured in an oven at 180-200 °C. The powder melts, flows and cross-links into a tough film that is typically 60-300 µm thick. Unlike liquid paint, powder coating contains no solvents, releases almost no VOC, and produces far less waste because overspray can be collected and reused.
The result is a surface that resists scratching, chipping, corrosion, chemicals and weathering, with excellent coverage even on sharp edges and corners where liquid paint tends to pull back.

Quality Control
Surface pretreatment is verified by salt spray testing before coating. Film thickness is measured on flat areas, edges and corners with an electromagnetic gauge; adhesion is checked by cross-cut and impact tests; color is matched against standards under controlled lighting (ΔE ≤ 1.0). Every batch is accompanied by test certificates covering thickness, adhesion, gloss, impact resistance, salt spray hours and bending performance. Third-party inspection (SGS, TUV) is available on request.
