Hot Rolled Steel Plate & Coil (Q235B/Q345B)
Hot Rolled Steel Plate & Coil (Q235B/Q345B)
Hot rolled steel plate and coil in Q235B, Q345B, SS400 and A36 grades from 1.5 to 60 mm, for structural engineering, machinery and heavy fabrication.
Overview
MESCO supplies hot rolled steel plate and coil for structural steelwork, machinery frames, pressure parts, shipbuilding, bridges and general industrial fabrication. Hot rolled steel is the workhorse material of construction and manufacturing, valued for its strength, weldability and cost-effectiveness.
We stock and schedule Q235B, Q345B, SS400 and A36 grades in thicknesses from 1.5 mm sheet to 60 mm plate, with width customization, plasma cutting, leveling and drilling services available before delivery.
What Is Hot Rolled Steel?
Hot rolled steel is produced by rolling steel at high temperature above its recrystallization point. The process allows large reductions in thickness, producing plates and coils with excellent weldability and formability at lower cost than cold rolled material. It is the standard choice where surface finish matters less than strength and economy.
Grade Comparison
| Grade | Standard | Yield Strength | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q235B | GB/T 700 | 235 MPa | Structures, frames, general fabrication |

FAQ
What is the difference between Q235B and Q345B?
Q345B has a higher yield strength (345 MPa vs 235 MPa) and is used for heavier or longer-span structures; Q235B is more economical for general frames.
Can you cut plates to my drawing?
Yes, we provide plasma and flame cutting, drilling, beveling and edge preparation to your drawings.
Do you supply with mill certificates?
Yes, every shipment includes mill certificates and, on request, third-party test reports.
What thickness ranges are available from stock?
Common gauges from 1.5 mm to 60 mm are available; special thicknesses are scheduled from the mill.
Can you support large project orders?
Yes, we handle batch project supply with consolidated logistics and phased delivery plans.
