Prefabricated Steel Structure Building & Warehouse
Portal frame warehouses, workshops and multi-story steel buildings engineered, fabricated and delivered ready for rapid bolted erection - with cladding, bracing and accessories from one source.
Overview
MESCO designs and supplies prefabricated steel structure buildings - warehouses, production workshops, hangars and multi-story frames - as complete kits: primary frames, secondary purlins and girts, bracing, roof and wall cladding, fasteners and flashing. Everything arrives cut, drilled and painted to drawing, with numbered members for bolted assembly.
Our engineering team works from your drawings or from basic parameters - length, width, eave height, local wind and snow loads - and delivers calculation-verified designs. With 19 years of steel industry experience, supply to more than 60 countries and 9 Fortune 500 customers, we know what makes a steel kit fast to erect and reliable for decades.
What Is a Prefabricated Steel Building?
A prefabricated steel building is a structure manufactured in a factory and assembled on site. Welded H-section columns and rafters replace cast concrete or timber; cold-formed Z or C purlins carry the cladding; and corrugated or sandwich panels close the envelope. Because every member is cut, drilled and coated before delivery, site work is mainly bolting - typically cutting construction time to weeks instead of months, with far less weather dependence.
Structure Types
| Type | Span / Height | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Portal frame | Single span 12-60 m; multi-span possible | Warehouses, workshops, sports halls |
| Multi-story frame | 2-6 stories, 3-6 m floor height | Offices, factories, mixed-use buildings |
| Truss structure | 30-100 m clear span | Hangars, exhibition centers, stadiums |
| Grid / space frame | Large coverage, light weight | Canopies, atria, column-free roofs |
Key Features & Benefits
- Fast construction: pre-drilled bolted members erect in a fraction of concrete or stick-built time.
- Wide clear spans: portal frames to 60 m and trusses beyond, giving column-free floors.
- Load-engineered design: frames verified against local wind, snow and seismic requirements.
- Complete envelope: PPGI/PPGL corrugated or sandwich panel roof and wall systems included.
- Factory quality: welding, drilling and painting completed indoors under QC inspection.
- Expandable: frames designed for future extension bays and mezzanine loads where requested.

Share your dimensions, usage and site location. We return a layout proposal with section sizes, tonnage estimate and lead time, then develop fabrication drawings for your approval before production begins.
Applications
- Logistics warehouses and distribution centers
- Manufacturing workshops and assembly plants
- Agricultural barns, livestock houses and storage sheds
- Aircraft hangars and vehicle garages
- Multi-story office and factory buildings
Quality Control
Fabrication is controlled from material certificates to final pre-assembly: steels are verified to grade before cutting, welds are inspected per procedure, and every member is trial-fit or dimension-checked before painting. Coating thickness is measured on painted frames, high-strength bolt assemblies are supplied with test certificates, and each shipment includes numbered packing lists matched to erection drawings.

FAQ
How quickly can a steel building be erected?
A typical 1000-3000 m2 portal frame building erects in 3-6 weeks on prepared foundations, since all drilling and painting is done at the factory and site work is bolting.
What information do you need for a quote?
Length, width, eave height, roof slope, location (for wind/snow loads), usage and door requirements. Drawings are welcome but not required to start.
Do you include foundations design?
We provide anchor bolt plans and column base reactions for your local engineer to design foundations; full foundation design can be quoted separately.
Can the building be insulated?
Yes - sandwich panels with PU, EPS or rock wool cores provide insulation for workshops, cold storage and climate-controlled spaces.
How is the building shipped?
Kits are packed per erection sequence into containers or break bulk, with member numbers, packing lists and erection drawings for site teams.
