MESCO supplies cold and hot rolled stainless steel sheet in 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 430 and 201 grades, with thickness from 0.3 to 6.0 mm and standard widths of 1000, 1219 and 1500 mm. All material is produced under ASTM A240 / A480 tolerance with full mill test certificate, and is available in 2B, BA, No.4, HL and 8K surface finishes for kitchen equipment, architectural cladding, chemical tanks, food processing and general fabrication.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 2B and BA finish?

2B is a standard cold rolled mill finish with a smooth matte grey surface, slightly reflective but not mirror-like. BA (Bright Annealed) is produced under protective atmosphere after annealing, giving a highly reflective, mirror-like surface suitable for decorative and sanitary applications.

Which grade is best for outdoor use — 304 or 316L?

316L is recommended for outdoor, marine, or chloride-rich environments due to its 2-3% molybdenum content that resists pitting and crevice corrosion. 304 works well in most indoor and mild outdoor applications but may pit near coastlines or in de-icing salt exposure.

Can MESCO cut sheets to my drawing?

Yes. We offer precision slitting (width), cut-to-length, laser cutting and CNC blanking services. Custom tolerances of ±0.05 mm on laser-cut parts are available on request.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Standard MOQ is 1 ton or one pallet. Mill-edge 2B stock ships within 7-10 days; special finishes (BA / No.4 / HL) require 15-25 days depending on quantity.
